Mettler Seralene Thread, 60 Weight,
100% Polyester, 2000m
I use Mettler Seralene thread for piecing most of my quilting projects. This 60 weight thread is very fine – yet strong – and therefore is more accurate when sewing my projects together. I love that each spool has 2000 Metres (2187 Yards) and that it comes in 18 different colors, so I always can find the right shade for the job.
It’s also easy to secure the loose thread tail when I’m done sewing with it – just push the bottom of the spool down to expand it, wrap the thread around a couple times, then push it back up. The bottom locks the thread in place so the thread will not unwind itself.
Watch THIS VIDEO to see how to do a rolled hem using this really great thread! This thread is quite versatile – you can even use it in a serger when working with very fine fabrics!
